The virtual world of “Faraway” is slowly being consumed by data corruption, caused by a parasitic entity that feeds on all human data - emotions, personalities, and more - regardless of whether it is good or bad. The entity was created as part of a experiment meant to benefit humanity, but it was later exploited for profit by it’s creator. However, it turned on it's creator when it realized humanity was greedy and assumed all humans were like its creator.This caused the entity to go rogue and wreak havoc on the virtual world, corrupting data and turning it into monstrous beings known as "The Corrupted." In response to the growing corruption, exists "The Grove of Sanctuary”- a place of refuge protected by a guardian entity named “Ai”.Ai is created from a partition of a real human and tasked with protecting the inhabitants of the virtual world. To better understand humanity, Ai was taught the psychoanalytic theory, which divides the mind into three parts - the id, ego, and superego - each serving different functions in a person's mental and emotional life. The human data that Ai was partitioned from serves as the ego. Unlike the parasitic entity, Ai is only fed limited data, allowing it to form a more nuanced and empathetic understanding of human behavior and emotions.
